Pultrusions play a pivotal role in the production of high quality, wind turbine blades. The technology facilitates longer, larger structures with rapid production times and higher efficiencies. However, without adequate supply chain positioning and the relevant technical expertise, it is a challenging technology to implement. This presentation assesses the advances made during the past two years and identifies the factors impacting the supply chain for both carbon and glass fibre pultrusions.
