These influential providers are positioned at the beginning of the composites supply chain and connect to all the application sectors STRUCTeam operates within. The material suppliers access end users through various intermediate products.
Working alongside these organisations, our team supports clients in the development and delivery of their composites vision and strategy through a combination of application engineering and supply chain knowledge.
Our materials services are categorised as follows:
- Corporate Advisory: organic and inorganic support with a holistic top-down approach. We offer due diligence, M&A, and advisory services.
- Product management: product value proposition, development and identification of USPs, competitive landscape analysis, liaison with technical teams during product development and commercial launch.
- Strategic sales support: We support material companies in launching their new products by supplying dedicated engineering services on a ‘need to’ basis. This can be as a business case, design function or through prototype development.
PULLWind is a clear example of our competences in this area. In 2018 STRUCTeam formed an alliance of composite companies with the aim of supporting wind OEM’s with a turn-key solution for pultruded sparcaps. Our PULLWind consortium included an epoxy manufacturer, a glass fibre manufacturer and carbon manufacturer. Together we offered a technical and commercial solution for the technology adoption.
This strategic partnership has allowed us to strengthen STRUCTeam’s presence in the wind energy sector and support clients seeking innovative solutions for their blades. This is combined with the reality of selecting which suppliers to use and a robust supply chain.
