This presentation addresses the latest developments in battery enclosures and identifies the key enablers of multimaterial designs. We consider both engineering, commercial and sustainability aspects, and address the challenges and development needs that have arisen from evolving car architectures. Fire risks in EV batteries and a review of structural and non-structural enclosures also features. Several concept studies are provided.
